Yahya Ibrahim Sinvar / Bir al-Seb’e Prison, 2004 One of the most important names in the Palestinian resistance, Yahya Sinvar, in this work titled “Thorns and Carnations,”

which he wrote during his quarter-century-long prison days , interweaves his personal memories, pain, and hopes with the unique and long story of the Palestinian people. In this work, which can be read as an autobiography or memoir, as well as having the characteristics of a novel, the fundamental and critical stages of the uninterrupted and multifaceted struggle of the Palestinian people from the heavy defeat in the Six-Day War of 1967 to the 2000s when the Al-Aqsa Intifada shook the region are discussed. In the book, which managed to emerge from the eyes of the guards and the dirty hands of the executioners in the dungeons of occupation and the darkness of captivity; the incessant attacks, migrations, pains, deprivations, longings, massacres and the occasional joys that bring smiles to faces are presented with an insider's eye and a humorous narrative.
