The heroine of the novel, Alagaş Hatun, is one of us who has grown old. Alagaş has made her name her own, she wanted to be remembered that way, her real name is different. As they say, a person is true to her name; Alagaş Hatun is one of those who assumes that she is one of the rare people.
She lived with her culture, knowing her era and not knowing it. Two conditions that she did not know were illnesses affected her life throughout her life. She defines herself as someone who struggles to make those around her love her, who is deprived of love. Although her life is based on these, neither she nor those around her knew this situation.
Her life is an old life lived with lies and lies in a false world; however, her soul is a grand city person. Even though she does not know what an Istanbul lady is like, she has become a real lady. In short; Alagaş Hatun has passed from this world.
