"Unfortunately, many of the people I met, talked to, and even mentioned in this book are no longer with us today. As our losses increase each passing day, the traces of Hamitköy are also disappearing.

Perhaps no more articles will be written about Hamitköy from now on, no more questions will be asked, perhaps it will never be told.

But all I know is that from now on, with the support of the people of Hamitköy, we now have a book that will shed light on the memories, traditions, and history of this village that we will bring to our homes."
