Flying Class

Erich Kästner is one of Germany's famous writers who writes for both children and adults. The characters in Flying Class are the children of a boarding school. It is almost Christmas. The children decide to prepare a play called Flying Class. However, their work is left unfinished. Because the students of another school have kidnapped both one of the actors in the play and the children's exercise books. Flying Class, which Kästner calls 'the best book I have ever written', is a masterpiece written with a subtle sadness and a lot of humor. In this book, the author gives a beautiful example of the solidarity between children and overcoming the difficulties of life with the power of a strong friendship.
