Equipment

The Arnica E-Max ET11201 battery-powered vacuum cleaner is supplied in a white cardboard box with high-quality full-color printing. In addition to illustrations of the device in operation, on the packaging the manufacturer provides brief technical specifications and describes in detail the key features of this model.

Among the notable characteristics are the large volume of the dustbin (1.3 liters), the ability to mechanically adjust the suction power, ease of cleaning, an ergonomic handle and a built-in furniture brush in the motor unit. The product also comes with a lengthy three-year warranty. All information on the packaging is presented in two languages, with duplicate inscriptions in Turkish and English.

When opening the box, the following components are revealed:

  • Motor unit with waste bin and built-in battery.
  • Extension handle.
  • Removable nozzle for floor cleaning.
  • Slot nozzle.
  • Wall mount with AC adapter.
  • User guide.

At first sight

The motor block of this model is lined with smooth plastic, made in a stylish black and blue color scheme. In addition, the manufacturer offers this model in alternative colors: black-pink and gray versions.

The entire front half of the oblong body is occupied by a garbage container of a very impressive (1.3 liter) volume. It is held securely with a latch on the top side.

The engine and non-removable battery are located at the rear of the case.

In manual mode, the vacuum cleaner is easy to hold by the special handle, which is integrated into the body. The only control button is located in such a way that it is convenient to press with the thumb of either hand.

On the front of the case, near the hole for connecting the nozzles, there is a non-removable brush element. Its purpose is to facilitate the cleaning of furniture and clothing in manual mode.

An air exhaust mesh is installed at the bottom of the motor block. This model is not equipped with additional filter elements at the outlet. Next to the grid there is a round socket for connecting the charger.

The waste container with cyclonic element can be completely detached from the motor unit together with the installed nozzle. It is quite convenient to shake out the container without removing the slot nozzle. However, in vertical cleaning mode, it is recommended to first detach the floor brush before cleaning.

The principle of operation of a cyclone is quite simple: the air flow rises inside the central element, creating a vortex. During this process, large debris particles are thrown into the outer part of the container, while fine dust is directed to the fine filter.

It is attached to the motor block and consists of a bag of non-woven material inside a separate housing with a hinged lid.

The fine filter is protected by a disk element made of black foam, inserted into the housing.

The entire structure is held on the motor block using a swivel mount.

An extension wand with a D-shaped handle is provided for floor cleaning. At the end of the handle there is a connector for connecting to a charger. There are no controls on the handle itself, so to turn the device on or off in the field configuration, you need to lean toward the motor unit.

The handle is fixed in the body with a latch, held securely and detached without difficulty.

There is an adjustable latch on the top of the floor head that allows you to mechanically adjust the power. In case of excessively strong suction, you can slightly open the hole on the brush using this latch.

The attachment is supported by two large wheels at the back and two smaller rollers at the front. A small velor strip has been added to the surface to ensure ease of gliding, and a rubber lamella is provided behind the central hole for improved grip on the base.

The vacuum cleaner is also equipped with a slot nozzle of the simplest design.

The vacuum cleaner is attached to the handle and at the same time connected to a standard round connector hidden in the corresponding recess of the charger. If necessary, the adapter can be detached from the base and connected directly to the motor unit: for this purpose, an additional connector is provided on the body, as noted earlier.

Instructions

The user manual is presented in the form of a 26-page A5 brochure, printed on high-quality glossy paper. The language of the document, similar to the information on the packaging, covers Turkish and English. Unfortunately, our copy is not supplied with documentation in Russian.

Despite the lack of Russian translation, the manual will be useful even for those who do not speak foreign languages. An abundance of illustrations and diagrams clearly explain the design of the device, its use and care rules. The last page of the brochure is intended for notes from the seller and the service center, making the document at the same time a warranty card.

Control

To turn on, turn off and control power there is a single button next to the handle of the motor unit.

Arnica E-Max ET11201 has two power levels. The vacuum cleaner turns on in economy mode, the second press of the button switches it to higher speeds, and the third turns it off.

Exploitation

Before use, the vacuum cleaner must be completely assembled by inserting the extension arm and floor attachment into the motor unit.

Before connecting to the mains, it is important to properly position the wall mount for convenient battery charging. It is recommended to hang it so that the distance from the bottom edge of the base to the floor is 98 cm.

It is also possible to directly connect the DC adapter: there is a connector for this on the underside of the motor block, next to the exhaust grille. Before doing this, you should, of course, disconnect the adapter plug from the base.

As with any battery-powered device, it is recommended to fully charge our vacuum cleaner before first use. The first charge cycle usually takes longer, so we simply left the vacuum cleaner plugged in overnight.

The white LED on the vacuum cleaner body serves as a charging indicator. It flashes during charging and lights up continuously when the battery is fully charged.

As mentioned earlier, the vacuum cleaner has two power settings. It switches on in economy mode, which, in our experience, is quite sufficient for most floor cleaning tasks. However, at maximum speed, the vacuum cleaner can be difficult to use on smooth, hard surfaces such as laminate or linoleum. The floor brush sticks too tightly to the floor and can be difficult to remove without unplugging the unit.

If it is necessary to use increased power on smooth surfaces, it is necessary to use a mechanical suction regulator located on the brush. While for soft floor coverings such as carpets, rugs and rugs, the maximum speed is ideal. With Arnica E-Max you can achieve a deep and thorough cleaning comparable to the efficiency of a powerful floor vacuum cleaner.

In floor cleaning mode, the controls are somewhat inconvenient: the buttons are located quite low, and you have to bend over each time to change the power or turn it on/off.

In manual cleaning mode, controlling the vacuum cleaner is noticeably easier, and the high power is very useful here. However, some disadvantages are the rather large size and weight of the motor unit.

The equipment, which includes a crevice nozzle and a non-removable brush at the end of the device, is quite sufficient for basic cleaning tasks in the apartment. However, when cleaning the car interior, this kit is clearly not enough: it is not always possible to get into hard-to-reach places in the car. In this context, the vacuum cleaner clearly lacks a flexible corrugated tube and a brush attachment.

The transparent body of the garbage container provides convenient control over the filling level of the container. This is especially important given that this model does not have an overflow or blockage alarm.

The large holes in the central element of the cyclone provide little protection from dust, and quite a lot of debris reaches the pre-foam filter.

Foam is certainly not an effective barrier to retaining fine dust, and there is a noticeable difference between the inner and outer surface of the porous disc.

The outer surface of the fine filter quickly becomes dark with dust.

Signs of contamination are also observed on the inner surface of the non-woven element and it appears that the choice of filter material is not the best. We assess the overall filtration efficiency in this model as satisfactory.

Care

Recommendations for cleaning the garbage disposal suggest performing this procedure after each cleaning. It's easy and you can empty the container without getting your hands dirty.

The manufacturer allows you to wash the foam disc protecting the fine filter under running water. However, when reinstalling, you should completely dry the element, avoiding the use of heating devices.

Our measurements

We present the mass measurements of the main components of the vacuum cleaner in the table:
