Equipment
The Evolution Legend Gray chair comes in a large and weighty box made of durable brown cardboard. On the front side of the packaging, the manufacturer placed a vector image of the chair itself and highlighted the main characteristics of the model. Among them, the multifunctional mechanism, the presence of 4D armrests, a durable 350 mm metal cross and the use of class 4 gas lift stand out.
The packaging of the chair provides basic information in English. Additional details are available to customers via QR codes located on the front and top of the packaging.
The chair is delivered disassembled. The box contains the following components:

All soft parts such as the back, seat and cushions are wrapped in thick polyethylene to prevent damage, and protruding parts are carefully wrapped in porous material. In addition, a set of hardware for assembly and a hex key are packaged in a blister for easy storage and use.
At first sight
The upholstery of the chair, as the name suggests, is made of gray fabric. The manufacturer does not disclose the composition of the material, but the fabric feels most like linen.
The embroidered logos on the back and pillows are made neatly and carefully, protruding threads are not noticeable.
The backrest with an integrated headrest and pronounced lateral support is equipped with “ears”: openings on the right and left, edged with a wide strip of black plastic.
The seat is also equipped with lateral support, and its main surface is flat.
The frame to which the swing mechanism and armrests are attached is made of thick steel: this is the heaviest part of the structure. The permanent upholstery is attached to the frame on metal rings. According to the manufacturer, the chair has a reinforced frame 2 mm thick.
The function of lumbar support is performed by a removable pillow, covered with the same gray material and decorated with an embroidered logo. It is not secured to the seat in any way and is held on to it due to its shape.
The second pillow is designed to support the back of the head.
It is held on the back with the help of nylon straps, which need to be wrapped around the headrest, and a plastic self-release buckle. This model does not have vertical adjustment of the pillow.
The chair rests on a five-spoke metal crosspiece painted with black enamel. Judging by the weight, the base is made of steel.
The cylinders into which the roller rods are pressed are welded to the base. The quality of welding can be assessed from photographs.
The cross rests on five double rollers. The 75 mm wheels are made of nylon and polyurethane, roll easily on any surface and, as the manufacturer emphasizes, are safe for parquet and laminate.
The multiblock mechanism has two handles: one fixes the swing, the second controls the gas lift. The round central knob is designed to adjust the spring stiffness.
The armrests have four degrees of freedom (we will look at their settings below). They are supplied assembled.
In a separate box inside the package we found a gas lift cartridge of the fourth (highest) class, a pair of decorative linings for the backrest fastenings (right and left) and a telescopic elevator casing.
Let's start assembling. First. What should be done is to insert the rollers into the holes of the cross. This procedure requires some effort: the spring washers on the wheel rods fit into the seats with difficulty.
After this, it is necessary to install the gas lift cartridge into the central hole and put the telescopic casing on it.
Let's put the assembled cross aside and start assembling the chair itself.
The first thing we need is to open the blister with accessories. The chair comes with 10 M8x20 screws, four M8x25 screws, two M5x8 screws, four plastic plugs and an L-shaped hex key. The latter fits all screws, but the assembly process will be faster and easier if you use a screwdriver with the appropriate bit. That's exactly what we did.
Now you need to fix the swing mechanism on the base of the seat. The round handle of the multiblock should point towards the front edge.
The remaining six M8×20 screws are used to screw the armrests to the base. Their oval holes allow you to further adjust the expansion of the structure within about 40 mm — it is better to fully tighten the screws last.
Next step: attach the backrest to the seat. To do this, you need longer screws — two M8x25 on each side.
After tightening the long screws, you need to close them with plastic plugs, which, in turn, are secured with short M5 ones.
Four plastic plugs are inserted into the holes of the lining — and the chair is assembled.
Lastly, a pillow with slings is attached to the headrest. You can place it in two ways: either by passing the straps through the holes in the back, or by putting them on the headrest. The first option is suitable for short users, the second for taller people.
The lumbar pillow is simply placed between the back and the seat: no fastening is provided for it.
Unpacking and assembling the chair is not difficult and does not take too much time: if we did not need to record each stage in photographs, we would have completed the task in 10-15 minutes. Most operations are quite capable of being performed by one person, although the weight of the entire structure is quite significant: the assembled chair weighs 26 kg.
Instructions
The chair's user manual is a sheet of thick glossy A4 paper, folded in half.
Most of the document is, of course, a description of the configuration and assembly. There is a minimum of text here, but all the necessary information can be easily obtained from detailed pictures, so there are no difficulties in the process.
The document ends with recommendations for cleaning the upholstery from dirt, contacts of the manufacturer and importer, and a place for the seller’s notes: the instructions also serve as a warranty card.
Control
The handle located on the right under the seat controls the height of the chair. The gas lift adjustment range is about 7 cm, which ensures that the seat can be installed at a height of 50 to 57 cm from the floor.
The handle on the left adjusts the angle of inclination. The mechanism allows you to raise the front of the seat, providing an inclination of up to 20 degrees from the horizontal. A round knob that regulates the rigidity of the rocking mechanism allows, depending on the weight of the user, to select the optimal force with which the chair will tilt back.
The angle of the backrest is adjusted using a lever to the right of the seat. Using a gear mechanism, it can be set to one of five positions at an angle from 90° to 135° to the horizontal plane.
The armrests of the chair have many adjustments, so you can configure the position of your hands within a very wide range. Each of them has two buttons on the inside. The first allows you to adjust the horizontal spread in the range from 52 to 55 cm on the inside. Another couple of centimeters on each side add fastenings for the bases of the armrests at the bottom of the chair.
The button on the front part adjusts the position relative to the seat. This model has three positions: parallel to the chair or at an angle of about 30° — positive or negative.
On the outside of the vertical supports of the armrests there is a button that controls their height. With its help, you can set the most comfortable position — from 17 to 25 cm above the seat.
All components work smoothly, without unnecessary play and do not require effort during adjustments.
Exploitation
The casters of the Evolution Legend Gray chair are not particularly flexible, so the chair does not roll away on its own and requires some effort to move. When standing up or sitting suddenly, the chair does not roll away. However, on a flat surface it moves easily and can clear small obstacles, although for carrying over taller obstacles it is better to raise the chair.
Constructed from a steel frame and crosspiece, the chair provides strength and durability, but it does have a significant weight. Please note that carrying the chair alone can be difficult.
The seat of the chair is wide and flat, without protrusions or anatomical curves. It does not force the user to freeze in one position, but provides the opportunity to change the position of the hips for comfortable sitting. The lateral supports, although widely spaced, serve more of a decorative function than provide significant support.
The described chair provides comfortable back support when the lumbar pillow is removed or installed. The memory foam filling of the pillow allows it to adapt to the contours of the body, providing comfort and pleasant sitting.
The head pillow has two positions to adapt to different heights of users. Adjusting the seat height with a gas lift is easy due to the wide range. Various backrest positions allow you to change your posture without too much distraction.
The rocking mechanism operates smoothly and steadily, even when the backrest is lowered for a comfortable reclining position. However, the lack of a footrest can be an inconvenience in this position.
The rocking force adjustment takes into account the different weights of users. Wide armrests provide good elbow support and are highly adjustable to suit user preferences.

If stains appear on the upholstery, the manufacturer advises applying a little detergent to a soft towel and wiping the stains until they dissolve.
Applying the product directly to fabric is not recommended.
Our measurements
The seat can be adjusted in height from 50 to 57 cm. The back of the chair can be tilted from 90 to 135 degrees. The armrests rise and fall from 17 to 25 cm above the seat, with 6 cm of fore and aft movement, and the ability to rotate out and in by up to 30°.
The width of the armrests is 10 cm. The main part of the seat, excluding lateral support, varies from 38 cm in the rear to 41 cm in the front.
The lumbar pillow measures 38 cm wide, 33 cm high and 8 cm at its thickest part. The width of the main part of the back, excluding lateral support, varies from 31 cm in the middle part to 34 cm in the lower part.
These measurements indicated in the technical specifications are confirmed and correspond to this model of the chair.

The Evolution Legend Gray gaming chair is ideal not only for gamers, but also for anyone who spends a long time at the computer. It helps to properly distribute the load on the spine, reduces pressure on the legs and ensures a comfortable position when working or playing. The anatomical shape of the pillows and moderately hard padding material help maintain correct posture and prevent fatigue.
This chair model has a wide range of settings, allowing you not only to adjust it to different body positions, but also to adapt the chair to users with different physical parameters. It is possible to adjust the height, backrest angle, rigidity of the swing mechanism and the position of the armrests, providing individual comfort to each user.
This model comes in four different colors: the gray we reviewed today, black, black and gold, and brown, but only in one size. The manufacturer does not indicate the recommended user height. In our opinion, the dimensions of the chair are designed for heights from 165 to 185 cm.
We consider the main disadvantage of the chair to be the inability to finely adjust the position of the head pillow: it can only be placed in two positions. The disadvantages of the model also include the lack of support for the legs and the rather large weight of the structure — although it must be admitted that the weight is determined by the reinforced frame, which adds not only massiveness to the chair, but also durability.
